Career Transition Coaching Group
Posted on March 9, 2010
Beginning in April 2010, I will pilot a Career Transition Coaching Group for individuals who are unemployed or underemployed and wish to create new action in their work lives.
We will cultivate a spirit of curiosity and improvisation as a way to generate new ideas and solutions to creating a fulfilling work life in a challenging economy.
The goals of the group are to:
- Create a supportive community in which members can acknowledge the emotions associated with job loss and be truthful about their experience.
- Provide each member with a laboratory in which to experiment with new ideas, brainstorm possibilities and create fresh thinking around what’s possible.
- Encourage members to challenge themselves and each other, to move beyond what’s comfortable in service of their growth and success.
Details:
- The group is open to 5 members. The reduced cost for this pilot series is $125.
- The group runs from April 5 through May 17 and will meet over the phone, every other Monday from 7p – 8:30p Eastern.
- The pilot may continue beyond the four sessions if the members so desire.
- Each call will include a goal-setting exercise and a goals check-in to encourage members to create and follow through on action plans.
- Participants are required to call in promptly, commit to the time, participate fully and be ready to explore what’s next.
- Call topics will be as follows:
Session 1 (April 5): Introduction: Meet the members and identify your goals.
Session 2 (April 19): Completion: Acknowledge and honor your past experience.
Session 3 (May 3): Creation: Open up to what’s emerging.
Session 4 (May 17): Action: Set plans for moving forward.
