I'm passionate about helping people find their path.

With nearly 20 years of experience as a human resources executive, I've seen a lot of people in a lot of different types of jobs.
Over the years, I've watched people in organizations die on the vine as they had to shave away some of their most unique qualities in order to fit in. I've witnessed the cost of handing over personal power to an employer.
I myself had based my whole identity on my work. When the work went away or changed without my permission, it hit hard and deep. I didn't like that feeling of powerlessness.
After watching and learning - I decided I was ready for a change. I wanted to apply my life learnings to really help people take charge of their work lives, so I decided to get my coaching certification.
I realized my calling was to apply my HR skills in a way that would empower people to be more free and confident in their careers - and less dependent on their employers. I knew I could help people figure out who they want to be in their career, not just what they wanted to do.
My career in human resources started my junior year in college. I took an internship in the HR department of a group of outpatient medical centers. I quickly realized I had a talent for building relationships. I had a keen sense for what people needed and how to meet those needs.
My HR career brought me to New York City, where I worked for big companies like Standard and Poor's and The Associated Press. I then became a recruiter where I was able to help each client find the job that was right for them.
But all along, my heart was telling me I wanted something more. I knew I couldn't do HR - at least in the traditional sense - forever.
After several fits and starts, I seized an opportunity when I was laid off after 9/11. That break gave me the courage to launch my coaching business. I became certified as a coach in 2009, joined the CFT faculty in 2010, began coaching in organizations in 2011, and have been expanding my business ever since.
